My Creative Journey in Scenography and Performing Arts
This world of visual and creative possibilities drew me in and inspired me to express myself through the art of scenography. I learned how set design and atmosphere can transform ordinary spaces into places of magic and wonder. The stage became my canvas, and the actors—the characters in my creations.The artist Dimitar Marinkov was born in Sofia in 1977. He chose to study at the Nikolay Raynov College of Plastic Arts, followed by the National Academy of Arts, where he specialized in scenography. He has designed stage sets for several theatrical productions and has held four solo painting exhibitions.For bringing his ideas to life on canvas, he primarily works with oil paints but also incorporates mixed media techniques.
The stone
In my free time, I work with stone, shaping and arranging it to create innovative design elements for both interior and exterior spaces. By using modern technologies and techniques, I recreate the natural beauty of stone in my works, enriching spaces and transforming them into unique and inspiring places.
